The Zvono Award

The Zvono Award is an award for young visual artists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It gathers the most creative forces of the contemporary scene, locally, where the award is awarded, but also regionally, in the countries where the award is acknowledged. As such, it is a major promotor of art and culture in BiH and an essential mediator between different art scenes and regions of the country.

Since its inception in 2006 this award provides a broad national and international network, space, infrastructure andvisibility for young artists from all parts of BiH to expose their work toan international jury, which chooses four finalists andone winner. The four finalists receive the opportunity to present their work in a group exhibition and the winner in addition has a solo exhibition after his or her return from the residency in New York. 

The aim is to provide support to young creative artists and facilitate the continuation of their activities by shifting them from a marginal to a central role in society by creating a positive context for youth art, creativity and innovativeness with which society canand should identify.  

The winner of the ZVONO Award 2018 was Igor Bošnjak (* 1981, Sarajevo) and the other three finalists are Nikola Kekerović, Saša Tatić and Vesna Majstorović.
